We were invited to hike with Nancy for her W46x2 hike. It was a fun day with a fun group and surprisingly we had good views all day all the way up the ridge trail and at both summits. It was very cloudy all day and we never forgot the chance of rain in the forecast, but the nice thing was the cloud ceiling was at 7k+ feet so we had the typical views you would expect from these two peaks. The trail in the G/RPR col meanders around a bit, and the climb up RPR flirts with the summer trail but doesn't stick to it completely. On the way up the trail was a postholed mess which made wearing snowshoes impossible. Although the deeper postholes remained, on the way down the trail had softened (the top few inches that is) to the point where it smoothed out again. Other than a little drama at the end of the hike it was a very enjoyable day |

| Drove up Friday via rt 8, drove back Saturday the same way. Ate at the Stewart's at the 8/I87 intersection |
